New CILY disease management plan
Abstract
This annex to the larger project “Fighting lethal yellowing disease for coconut farmers (CIFSRF Phase 2)” provides photos with which to recognize weeds identified as alternative hosts for the Côte d’Ivoire Lethal Yellowing (CILY) disease phytoplasma. Photos also show insect specimens of the Hemiptera order: Cicadellidae specimens Nzinga palmivora, a potential insect vector of the CILY phytoplasma, along with guidelines on inspection and follow-up action.
