It provided leaders of telecentres and other Community ICT Centres opportunity to increase practical skills and learn about new services. Summaries are presented of discussions, project ideas, and more information from the TLF with iterations of evolving and continuing conversations among the members of the African and wider telecentre movement. Participants emphasized the importance of content: valorizing existing local content and knowledge to respond to local demands, along with resources to implement content production/adaptation projects.Item Telecentre magazine : examining the role of public access to technology, v. This report aids in understanding the complexities of information and service-provision in rural areas, especially in India where communities are not ‘typical’ and ‘universal’ in nature. During the course of this research, approximately 180 civil society organizations (CSOs) were partnered towards customization of local and locale-specific demand in services and information products. In addition, strategies for bridging the digital divide could make telecentres instrumental in coping with climate catastrophe, contributing to human security and other unforeseen challenges. It looks at frameworks for enhancing open access to research data, such as the open data contract, Open Content Licenses and the Open Data Commons. The pros and cons of each of these frameworks are discussed as well as dimensions of privacy that relate to public access.
