The goal of the project was to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the three most prominent HIV/AIDS funding programs by improving their performance. Working with the United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the project helped increase transparency and release of data, as well as influencing donor policies and practices. Other activities with major donor groups such as the World Bank and the Global Fund are reviewed. As well, at the country level, the Monitor has influenced local capacity to conduct research.Text1 digital file (21 p.)enHIVAIDSAID PROGRAMMESHEALTH ECONOMICSHEALTH RESEARCHPOLICY MAKINGHEALTH POLICYHEALTH PLANNINGHIV/AIDS monitor : country studies; final technical progress report, September 1, 2006 - September 1, 2010Final Technical Report
