It was noted that science has not been successful in offering sustainable solutions to the climate change challenge; the science hasn't been able to translate knowledge and know-how into local language. The GIS-based, spatial information tool (AWhere) was presented so teams might better identify climate risk hot spots, map areas of vulnerability, and identify potential adaptation options.
