Overall, the results of the Women’s Empowerment in Livestock Index (WELI) survey show that women face challenges in three of the indicators: work balance, self-efficacy, and being respected by household members. The average empowerment gap between women who do not achieve gender parity and the men in their households is 21%. The study finds that approximately 75% of the survey households achieved gender parity.
