It provides a review of literature on spillover effects of FDI in the service sector, and a mathematical model based on data for both the manufacturing and services sector. The measures of FDI forward linkages are found to be statistically significant and negatively related to the output performance of domestic firms. This study is part of a larger tri-institute FDI project jointly carried out by the Centre for Analysis and Forecasting (Viet Nam), the Edge Institute (South Africa) and the North-South Institute (Canada).Text1 digital file (42 p.)enFOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTFAR EAST ASIAFOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTTRANSNATIONAL CORPORATIONSTECHNOLOGY TRANSFERVIET NAMForeign direct investment in Vietnam : is there any evidence of technological spillover effects; research reportIDRC-Related Report
