Drawing from the constitutional texts from "Constitute," an effort by Google and the Comparative Constitutions Project to catalogue the world’s written and in-force constitutions, the current constitution of each of the 56 Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) members were read and coded. For the countries located in the Middle East, Arabic language versions were also read. The resulting ICI allows capability of distinguishing between various degrees and layers of Constitutional Islamization. That is, the index illustrates that Constitutional Islamization is not a monolithic phenomenon.Text1 digital file (21 p. : ill.)Application/pdfenGLOBAL GOVERNANCEISLAMINSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORKCONSTITUTIONAL REFORMMIDDLE EASTINDIASOUTH ASIAARAB COUNTRIESARAB SPRINGIslamic constitutionsMedia Article
