It proposes that this insecurity is due to decades of conflicts over resources essential for pastoralist and agro-pastoralist economies. Specific focus is also given to the socio-economic impact of insecurity on Turkana women and the broader socio-economic structures of the households to which they are linked. As well, years of peace-building initiatives in the region are examined.application/pdfenACCESS TO RESOURCESPEACEBUILDINGBORDERLANDBORDER TRAFFICPASTORALISMAGROPASTORAL SYSTEMSCLIMATE CHANGE VARIABILITYDROUGHTGEOPOLITICSHUMAN SECURITYUGANDASOUTH SUDANETHIOPIASOUTH OF SAHARAKENYAPast and current initiatives in managing trans-border insecurity in Kenya’s Turkana borderlands : implications for future policy : final technical reportFinal Technical Report
