Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a research tool based on the premise that rural communities are endowed with assets and capabilities that can be turned into opportunities for improving their livelihoods. AI recognizes that communities are not necessarily characterised by challenges and weaknesses, whose problems require solving by outsiders. This study suggests that integrating AI into participatory research processes leads to better identification of community dynamics and resources, which can enhance food security.application/pdfenFOOD SECURITYPARTICIPATORY APPROACHKENYAPARTICIPATORY ACTION RESEARCHAGRIFOOD SYSTEMSASSET-BASED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENTFARMER PARTICIPATORY RESEARCHSOUTH OF SAHARAAppreciative Inquiry: Farmer Participatory Identification of Opportunities and Interventions to Strengthen Agri-food Systems in KenyaIDRC-Related Report
