Higher education lecturers identified some issues as critical: Training in distance education (DE) and e‐learning; Access to ICT facilities; Presence of a guiding policy in DE; Support from university administrators; and Provision of Intellectual property rights policy. The study concludes that the differences between adopters and non-adopters can be addressed by tailoring e‐learning training programmes to the specific needs of individuals and groups.Text1 digital file (19 p. : ill.)enEDUCATIONAL RESEARCHSURVEYSUNIVERSITIESTEACHERSDISTANCE STUDYE-LEARNINGTEACHER TRAININGKENYAINNOVATION ADOPTIONSOUTH OF SAHARAReady to change gears? an analysis of how issues of concern influences lecturers rate of adoption of e-learningeLearning Africa 2009Presentation
