Obesity Reviews, 14(Suppl. 2), 150-158.doi:10.1111/obr.12090http://hdl.handle.net/10625/52202The article documents the challenges the Pacific Islands are facing regarding food supply and trade, and how trade and trade agreements contribute to the obesogenic food environment. As non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are responsible for 75% of deaths in the region, these countries have been innovative in developing trade-related policy approaches. Existing policy interventions employed in the region to improve food supply are highlighted, along with implications for how the Pacific Islands may work towards a healthier food environment.
