It examines IDRC research that spans multiple disciplines of social and natural sciences across the globe. The evaluative framework used is “Research Quality Plus (RQ+)” which incorporates argumentation espoused in the Leiden Manifesto. The analysis suggests there is no clear trade-off between the rigor and utility of research, and as well, that research capacity-strengthening efforts are positively correlated with scientific merit.application/pdfenRESEARCH QUALITY PLUSEVALUATION METHODSRESEARCH CAPACITY BUILDINGRESEARCH POLICYRESEARCH FOR DEVELOPMENTIDRCCANADANORTH AND CENTRAL AMERICAMaking a difference in the real world?
