The majority of countries chose to increase spending or public investment rather than reduce taxes or increase direct subsidies. The paper concludes with proposals towards an agenda of actions to reduce rural poverty, not just interventions to mitigate the effects of the crisis.Text1 digital file (55 p. : ill.)enECONOMIC CRISISPOVERTYLATIN AMERICAFINANCIAL POLICYRURAL POVERTYLEADERSHIPNORTH AND CENTRAL AMERICAECONOMIC ANALYSISSOCIAL POLICYCrisis and rural poverty in Latin AmericaIDRC-Related Report
