Groundwater studies determined the extent of the aquifer, recharge rates, hydraulic properties, and the effect of extractions on surface water bodies. Workshops were held with water user groups and technicians. The implementation and demonstration of an efficient sprinkler irrigation system was presented to irrigation groups in order to encourage the shift away from flood irrigation. At universities, capacity building included short courses on the use of electrical resistivity tomography, presented at the Centro Agua, UMSS and at USFX.Text1 digital file (13 p.)Application/pdfenEmpowering local stakeholders for sustainable groundwater management : final technical reportFinal Technical Report
