The biggest impact was perceived in reducing the need for travel. Strong social benefits (in terms of maintaining relationships) were also perceived; at the BOP, where social and work-related networks tend to overlap, these kinds of “social” benefits will have indirect economic impacts as well. The research presented in this brief is based on the findings of the fourth Teleuse@BOP study conducted in six Asian countries: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand and Sri Lanka1 digital file (4 p. : ill.)application/pdfenINFORMATION TECHNOLOGYECONOMIC GROWTHPOVERTY ALLEVIATIONENTREPRENEURSCELLULAR PHONESMOBILE PHONESCONNECTIVITYBASE OF PYRAMIDBOPSOUTH ASIAHelping BOP micro-entrepreneurs to do business through mobiles : innovation briefPolicy Brief
