Findings of the survey show that partial closure of critical food systems infrastructure (rural producer markets, wholesale food markets and open-air retail food markets) led to shutting down of the traditional marketing system in the Niger Delta region. A major challenge to households during the period of Covid-19 has been access to markets for the purchase of essential items, such as food.
