Specific adaptation actions are under way that target resilience-building needs in the areas of agriculture, climate information, coastal zone management, and disaster risk management. More limited efforts appear to be focused in tourism and health sectors. Strengthening the role of civil society organizations in national climate change debates and programming could be a crucial step in improving national capacities to meet the challenge of climate change.
