In this project, specific findings from each case study are provided that identify critical interests and strategies in the particular conflict. An emphasis on “obstacles to peace” rather than the “root-causes of conflict” is potentially a more productive approach towards peace negotiations, and for working with prolonged regional conflicts.1 digital file (13 p.)enFRAGILE STATESCONFLICT FORMATIONGOOD GOVERNANCEOBSTACLES TO PEACECONFLICT RESOLUTIONPEACE RESEARCHGOVERNANCEETHNIC RELATIONSGOVERNMENT POLICYFinal technical report on the research project "Understanding Obstacles to Peace in the Great Lakes Region : Actors, Interests and Strategies"Final Technical Report
