Findings indicate that village leaders along the Zhejiang coast had little knowledge of global warming and sea-level rise. While some had a positive attitude towards adaptation to sea-level rise, most did not want to take any specific policy action. However, providing local decision makers with relevant information raises awareness of the need to act.
