A persistent gender gap exists in favor of male workers, whose jobs are characterized by a higher JQI. Workers with a basic education or lower obtain considerably poorer jobs, generally characterized with lower JQIs. New entrants to the labor market and workers on the verge of retirement are more likely to have lower job quality in comparison with workers belonging to age groups in the middle of their work lives.Text1 digital file (28 p. : ill.)enUNDEREMPLOYMENTLABOUR SHORTAGELABOUR MARKETGENDER DISCRIMINATIONSOCIAL SECURITYEDUCATIONAL ASPECTSAGE GROUPSJORDANDEMOGRAPHIC ANALYSISEMPLOYMENTMIDDLE EASTJob quality in Jordan : an analysis based on a job quality index (JQI)Working Paper
