The research concludes that the extent of linkages varies due to the passage of time, the complexity of the sector, and the level of capabilities in the domestic economy. Related factors that determine the nature and pace of linkage development are explored. Policy is an important contextual factor affecting ownership, infrastructure and capabilities.Text1 digital file (123 p. : ill.)enINDUSTRIALISATIONSOUTH OF SAHARAGLOBALIZATIONINDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENTGOVERNMENT POLICYCOMMODITIESINDUSTRIAL POLICYANGOLABOTSWANAGABONGHANANIGERIASOUTH AFRICATANZANIAZAMBIADOMESTIC TRADEVALUE CHAINSCommodities and linkages : industrialisation in Sub Saharan AfricaWorking Paper
