As part of a larger project titled “Amnesty for peace in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria” in-depth interviews with youths, leaders, community members, elders and relatives of ex-militants were carried out. Section 175 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria granted unconditional pardon to all persons who participated in the commission of offences associated with militant activities in the region.
