Elections were supposed to have been held every three years; however, in reality candidates were appointed rather than elected. The report introduces and analyzes the organisation’s efforts and successes in promoting direct elections, with effective participation and advancement of women in politics. Direct elections provided a new approach towards marginalised groups and created many practical systems, such as methods to obtain recognition from other organisations and in seeking financial support.Text1 digital file (25 p.)application/pdfenCHINAGOVERNMENT POLICYSOCIAL CHANGEGENDER EQUALITYWOMEN IN POLITICSWOMEN'S RIGHTSCOMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONMUNICIPAL GOVERNMENTELECTIONSWOMEN’S ORGANIZATIONSCIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONSWOMEN’S PARTICIPATIONFAR EAST ASIAPublic Participation of Marginalised Communities: Quasi-Government Organizations as a Middle GroundWomen's Congress of Qianxi County, Hebei: A Case StudyWorking Paper
