The project aimed to play a key role in influencing migration policies in the West African Region. Research strategies that were adopted through the IDRC for this project were innovative and strongly benefitted development of research capacity in the region. The project succeeded in enlarging the network of participating institutions as well as expanding respective networks of individual researchers.
