Some results indicate that the key channels through which university research impacts industrial research and development (R&D) include published papers and reports, public conferences and meetings, informal information exchange, and consulting. The main mechanisms of R&D are through information and training. Findings show that most R&D in Costa Rica is performed by universities.Text1 digital file (19 p. : ill.)enUNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGESSUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTRESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENTCOSTA RICAUNIVERSITY INDUSTRY LINKAGESKNOWLEDGE TRANSFERINNOVATIONNORTH AND CENTRAL AMERICAUniversities and transition to sustainable development : lessons from the Costa Rican case; preliminary draftConference Paper
