Standard research principles in developing countries need to use a modified approach, taking into account conditions on the ground, such as social, cultural and linguistic boundaries. The project investigates publishing practices among scholarly journals in Africa, while exploring the potential for the utilization of online publishing systems, including systems of support, tools, and training that will strengthen a sustainable journal publishing culture among African universities.Text1 digital file (38 p. : ill.)enSCHOLARLY PUBLISHINGSCHOLARLY COMMUNICATIONOPEN ACCESSOPEN JOURNAL SYSTEMSOPEN ACCESS PUBLISHINGDEVELOPING WORLD RESEARCHDISSEMINATIONINFORMATION NETWORKSStrengthening scholarly publishing in Africa : assessing the potential of online systemsIDRC Final Report
