As with access to communications and information, natural resources are seen as a public good. The report covers lessons learned in the debate over public goods in these two spheres, which can be combined to develop a more unified approach to securing the ‘commons’. Selected participants participated in a GIS training workshop, an introduction to the possibilities of using remote sensing for analysis, communication, and dissemination of research.Text1 digital file (39 p. : ill.)enINFORMATION TECHNOLOGYGEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMSLOCAL PLANNINGNATURAL RESOURCESAGRICULTURERESOURCES MANAGEMENTNatural Resource Management (NRM) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Africa, Dakar, Senegal, May 12-16th, 2009 : workshop reportWorkshop Report
