dc.description.abstractAttending the regional fibre optic workshop were 14 participants from Rwanda, Congo-Brazzaville, Guinea-Conakry, Benin, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Cameroon. Building a cable network in Central Africa is an important development ingredient in the sub-region. Participants were instructed in various stages of implementation of fibre optic networks, communication infrastructure, regulation of networks, as well as identification of different types of cables used in campus, urban and intercontinental networks.en
