The publication reflects on the work of a Non- Governmental Organisation, Computers for Schools Kenya (CFSK), whose goal has been to increase ICT accessibility across the country. As a pioneer organisation in the field, CFSK had to operate in a unique context, in the absence of a policy framework and national strategy to guide it. CFSK has succeeded in building strong relationships with all participating schools, and has managed to develop a culture of ownership and independence in these schools regarding the demands of their computer projects. This report details background, methodology, outcomes and recommendations.en
