dc.description.abstractRadio is popular among the poorest households and accessible to those who cannot read. It provides the listener with a relationship of intimacy between the producer and listeners. It has the function of keeping audiences informed of significant events. FIT Uganda is a private sector business development consulting company that undertook research into broadcasting to medium and small enterprises (MSE), to evaluate the viability of commercial broadcasting information services to MSEs. Initial research has highlighted topics of corruption and extortion as affecting small businesses and hence appropriate topics for radio programmes.en
