dc.description.abstractThis brief reports on two successful pilot projects initiated in Mozambique. One was creating telecentres, where people in rural communities were able to access online information. The second one targeted youth through SchoolNet Mozambique. There is a small well-networked ICT community in Mozambique of key decision-makers, who allowed for fast and easy transfer of ideas and information. The programme was able to identify, or create, or contribute to, the creation of champions at all levels. Acacia (Alliance for Accelerated Crop Improvement in Africa) and IDRC supported these projects.en
