dc.description.abstractA one-day stakeholder workshop involving provincial administration, city council officials in the health and sewerage departments, community representatives, human health service providers, veterinarians, agricultural officers and researchers was held to jointly map out their perceptions of the benefits and risks associated with urban agriculture (UA) activities, raise awareness about potential health hazards and generate support and interest in the study. This project focuses on identifying hazards posed by Escherichia coli O157:H7, bovine tuberculosis, brucellosis, cryptosporidiosis, leptospirosis, and antibiotic residues to urban small holder dairy farmers, neighbours and consumers of dairy products.en
