The course aimed to provide young professionals from diverse backgrounds in Pakistan a better understanding of research processes, improved analytical skills, and discussion of the connections between peace, development and violence. The Sustainable Development Immersion Programme (SDPI) encourages research and analysis that can address issues related to sustainable development within the framework of themes and issues common to Pakistan and South Asia. The objective was to strengthen the capacity of individuals and institutions towards understanding inter-linkages between environmental/social change and sustainable development, as well as to help make up for the lack of exposure to issues related to sustainable development in the country.en
