Abstract
This phase of the strategic evaluation focuses on the elaboration of six organizational case studies intended to help the Centre better understand how it can best plan for, implement, and evaluate support for its partners’ capacity development [see “Cross-case study analysis : capacity development for research - strategic evaluation http://hdl.handle.net/10625/47603]. The Université Cheik Anta Diop (UCAD) is one of the oldest and most respected universities in West Africa with a large network of faculties, institutes, centres and schools. Findings show that IDRC’s interventions reflect good practices in contributing to capacity development for researchers as well as at the institutional level.
