Open Data for Development : building an inclusive data revolution

Abstract

Open Data for Development (OD4D) focuses on building the supply of quality open data, and improving its use by leaders in government, civil society, the media and business to further public interest and improve peoples’ lives. This annual report briefly reviews the achievements and lessons learned in the first year of the implementation of the OD4D program (2015-2016). Making open data part of the infrastructure of government and markets can help hold to account increasingly complex systems of governance and trade.
