dc.description.abstractThe presentation reviews “LOG-IN Africa” research and country studies. The Local Governance and ICTs Research Network for Africa (LOG-IN Africa) was a Pan-African network of researchers and research institutions from Egypt, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda and Ghana. The research aimed to inform and support African countries and other stakeholders in policies and practices concerning the application of ICTs to local governance. This presentation covers results obtained in Kenya, Mauritius, and Morocco. Governance reform may not be a necessary condition or even a panacea for effective e-governance implementation.en
