Abstract

This collection of papers focuses on practical examples of integration of ICT in education in developing countries, with data from a transnational study in West and Central Africa. The objective was to better understand within the context of African countries, the conditions which favour integration of ICT and its impact on the quality and development of education. The papers discuss teachers’ and students’ readiness for ICT in the school system; the impact of ICT as innovation in education; and the management of the integration process, including gender differentials in the use of ICT in school.
