The draft National Tobacco Control Law will be submitted to the Council of Ministers and then to the National Assembly for ratification. The research presented here contributes to meet the needs of tobacco control advocates in Cambodia to demonstrate that there is strong public awareness and support for tobacco control legislation. Research efforts focus on quality statistical “opinion data” from the general public about the need for Smoke Free Areas and policy, clear warning labels, and the need to ban advertising. Specific steps have been taken to ensure relevance to the interest of key policy makers.en
