dc.description.abstractThis research suggests that incorporating spatial effects in examining the sensitivity of agriculture to climate change results in a reduction in the impact of climate change on agriculture. The study postulates that farmers are influenced by their colleagues in surrounding areas and learn from each other to adapt to changes in climate. Findings indicate that strong flows of information amongst farmers may contribute to being better able to adapt to climate changes through changes in, for example, the mix of crops they grow and the crop management practices they use.en
