The IDRC Acacia Program supports research on the intersection of information and communication technologies (ICTs) with social and economic development in Africa. Workshops were held to inform and expose researchers to GIS concepts and practices that could enhance their own work. More generally, aspects of geospatial data collection, analysis and representation are also covered, and how these can be used strategically to enhance the research planning, implementation and communication processes in eHealth initiatives.en
