Based on a review of literature and interviews with key individuals, this paper focuses on the role of the Islamic Action Front (IAF) in Jordan. It identifies four areas where policymakers could improve efforts to support reform processes: encourage the Jordanian regime to follow through on reform processes; display consistency in supporting human rights; develop civil and political participation; find opportunities for dialogue with opposition groups. The report is part of a series on Political Islam in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The aim is to deepen understanding of various forms of political Islam, to counter common misconceptions, and to help generate constructive policy responses.en
