dc.description.abstractThe article precedes the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) held in Tunis (2005). The event is part of a project called Sharing the Future, developed after the first phase of WSIS in 2003. UN Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and the UN Development Programme have invited participants from 60 nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and SMEs to this conference. The article briefly investigates some of the issues to be addressed by the conference.en
