Abstract
Monograph on forestry development in the tropical zone, ecological implications, and the need for improved forest management and overall land utilization - discusses forest ecosystem, sequential cultivation system of growing trees and food crops, reforestation, exploitability of forest resources, forest production, forestry research needs and priorities; integration of forestry, agriculture and animal husbandry (agrisilviculture), and establishment of an International Council for Research in Agroforestry.
