Abstract

IDRC supported. Cross cultural analysis of economic, social and psychological factors affecting learning behaviour of adults in response to rural community nonformal education programmes in Ghana and Sri Lanka - suggests that acceptance of innovation is related to the compatibility of new ideas and practices with existing cultural values, favourable economic incentives and confidence in the change agent; includes recommendations, survey questionnaire and results, bibliography.
