Abstract
Civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) systems are essential for monitoring progress towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which seek to eliminate poverty and improve lives. This condensed media post provides information and links to resources that shed light on improving access to CRVS systems for women and girls. The solutions to current challenges are likely to be as complex as the barriers to access. Countries must prioritize investment in CRVS systems if they are to monitor and advance towards SDGs.
