Abstract
In crisis situations such as war and natural disasters, Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems are often last on policy makers priorities, which puts the information and rights of entire generations at risk. Even before the COVID pandemic, displaced people and the stateless struggled to obtain legal identity and work permits and have access to formal employment and social safety nets. This report provides a compendium of papers and case studies, which focus on country responses to disaster and related CRVS systems.
