Abstract
The Economic Research Forum (ERF) promotes quality research on policy relevant questions in terms of the Arab countries Iran and Turkey. This report outlines project activities, outputs, outcomes and recommendations. The core grant equipped ERF to build research capacity in the region with enhanced engagement in dissemination activities, including open platforms for public debates. Towards making research more relevant for policymaking, ERF has added a policy dialogue program, as well as connecting with media and social media. Five themes are focused on: (i) The Economics and Politics of Arab Awakening, (ii) Inequality, (iii) Employment, (iv) Women’s economic empowerment and (v) Natural Resources and Economic Diversification.
