Abstract
“Health Inequities in India: A Synthesis of Recent Evidence” is an edited compendium of essays that unpacks the multiple social dimensions and determinants of health in India. Through careful and rigorous investigation, contributors raise questions on the roots and intersectionality of multiple forms of inequities and their impact on disease development, health access and wellbeing. The review emphasizes the notion which the volume advances, that the argument of health for all cannot be achieved without addressing ‘fundamental causes’ of disease and health.
