dc.description.abstract The livestock vaccine innovation fund is working to accelerate development of new vaccines against neglected livestock diseases by supporting innovation and cutting-edge research. Emerging zoonotic infections are bringing attention to animal health. The presentation provides context and an outline of the vaccine value chain, including challenges of developing supply chains, as well as distribution channels. One billion farmers in sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia rely on livestock for their livelihoods. The majority are women. There is a requirement for gender inclusive vaccine distribution and delivery system to improve animal health and to achieve sustainable development goals. en
