Abstract

The research aims to inform policy debates and practices in mechanisms for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) and interventions within the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) region (Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan and Uganda) in order to engage and empower youth. This workshop was successful in attaining the outcomes stipulated in the project implementation plan towards youth-inclusive mechanisms in preventing and countering violent extremism in the IGAD region. Highlights from presentations are included, along with the scheduled meetings agenda
